Tata AutoComp has completed their acquisition of IAC Group (Slovakia) through UK subsidiary Artifex Interior Systems, rebranding the entity as Artifex Systems Slovakia.
Vehicle interiors are now both a premium-perception battleground (surfaces, lighting, HMI integration) and a constraint zone (sustainable materials, multi-site industrialization, localization). In that context, the opening of an engineering center in Gothenburg reinforces the company’s message of priority on co-development capacity close to European OEMs.
For the cockpit and interiors market, it’s evidence that consolidation isn’t limited to legacy mega tier-1s. It also comes from groups that can align industrial capital expenditure, customer proximity, and engineering, and turn an acquisition into a platform for European operations.
