Foriva has secured a multi-year project to supply several hundred thousand seats to Luxeed, a premium Chinese electric brand owned by Chery.
Seat assembly will take place at a dedicated facility in Wuhu, in China’s southeast, where a new production line will be built specifically for the program. Meanwhile, components, mechanisms, and seat structures will be supplied by three other Forvia plants in Jiaxing, Wuxi, and Yancheng.
The award includes delivery of technologies including automatic real-time seat adjustments, based on occupant morphology and the vehicle’s driving conditions, powered by dedicated algorithms.
