On April 8, KRAIBURG TPE presented a material solution for automotive sealing systems based on its THERMOLAST K family, with recycled content of more than 50%, consisting of post-industrial and post-consumer recyclates.
The work was carried out with SaarGummi, and the resulting compound is described as reaching roughly 56% recycled content while also reducing the product carbon footprint versus the previous variant. This is not an image-driven CMF material; it targets a high-volume function with process constraints and durability expectations.
