Inspired by windshield black-band display developed by AGC, FeelInGlass®, the group’s in-vehicle glass solution unit, has developed a breakthrough HUD integration. The “Reflective Blade”, award-winning innovation during CES 2026, uses the same panoramic HUD concept, without relying on the windshield for the projection. Instead, a dedicated stand-alone panel is integrated into the dashboard, serving as a projection surface.
Coated with an adjustable p-polarized layer, the encapsulated ultra-thin glass provides optimal readability in any lighting conditions, and is fully compatible with polarized sunglasses, contrary to conventional AR-HUD.

This alternative to conventional HUD setups avoids costs incurred by the custom projection optimized for the windscreen. With an ultra-thin, fully chemically tempered glass panel just less than 1 mm thick, the module offers maximum stiffness with minimum material thickness. A specially developed manufacturing process in which the glass is precisely framed in-mold with plastic creates a seamless appearance with a black mirror effect, while following the curved contours of the windshield. The result is an aesthetically pleasing design blending the best of the HUD and display worlds, creating a non-conventional integration of panoramic HUD for a differentiated UX both for driver and passengers.
