VW launched their ID.3 Neo on 15 April. It has a 10.25-inch instrument cluster, a 12.9-inch central display, a redesigned multifunction steering wheel (sort of round, sort of not), controls the automaker says are ‘more intuitive’ (we see buttons!), upgraded materials, one-pedal driving, and an optional AR-HUD.

It brings (back) simpler controls better optimized for usability – a divergence from the interior design of earlier ID-line cars. Those cars (as shown here) prioritized the elimination of buttons, much to the annoyance of would-be vehicle users and the alarm of traffic safety researchers.
