Valeo has just announced a major program award from a premium global automaker. As part of this program, Valeo is introducing a new automated high volume manufacturing solution utilizing TactoTek’s In-Mold Structural Electronics (IMSE) technology.
The awarded program focuses on an innovative interior solution that integrates lighting and electronics into a single, unified, and ready-to-use smart structure. This design creates a refined, flush aesthetic, and elevates the in-cabin experience, reflecting a broader industry shift toward vehicle interiors where design, functionality, and intelligence are cohesively integrated.
The project not only strengthens Valeo’s position at the forefront of interior system innovation, but also solidifies the Group’s role as a key technology partner for the future of mobility. With this win, the Group has recorded more than €140m worth of order intake for interior lighting since 2024, for its pixelated solutions, light lines, and now smart surfaces.
In Europe, premium brands are pushing lighting as brand DNA; IMSE supports clean, integrated surfaces. For Chinese market the cockpit differentiation loves flush smart structures and ambient signatures and for US, the key point is to achieve high-volume scalability if cost lands, this can spread beyond premium.
