The BYD Tang L uses 3D bamboo wood as a new interior material. Specially selected Wuyi bamboo undergoes about 19 complex processes – including cutting, slicing, pressing, durability treatment, high-temperature carbonization, and 3D carving – to create the decorative panels. This treatment preserves the natural texture of the bamboo while enhancing its richness and elegance.
These bamboo wood accents are thoughtfully placed throughout the cabin, adding a touch of refined and fresh aesthetic that highlights the unique taste and cultural depth of Chinese design.
For the dashboard, a combination of leather and knitted fabric is used, providing a softer tactile feel. The inside of the center armrest box is lined with flocking material, significantly improving comfort to the touch. Furthermore, the new model retains physical buttons for frequently used functions, with their size and placement carefully designed with ergonomics in mind to offer a superior user experience.
