TactoTek confirms a Manufacturing Partner Agreement with France-based Symbiose to expand the IMSE (In-Mold Structural Electronics) ecosystem. Symbiose will license IMSE technology and take part in IMSE prototyping and mass-production initiatives alongside TactoTek and partners.
From an industrial standpoint, Symbiose brings IME/printed-electronics capabilities (high-precision printing, flexible circuitry, functional foil production). The deal is primarily a capacity and industrialization move to support higher-volume automotive RFQs and programs.
IMSE’s proposition remains consistent: integrate lighting, touch and circuitry into 3D molded parts to reduce multi-component stacks and assembly complexity—relevant for cockpit/interior smart surfaces where packaging, styling and cost are tightly coupled.
