LG Innotek debuted next-generation automotive lighting technologies at the 39th DVN Lighting Workshop in Munich, targeting Europe’s premium automaker market.
Key exhibits included Nexlide Air, an ultra-lightweight silicon-based lighting solution designed for bumper and grille applications. The company also showcased Nexlide Pixel, which features what LG Innotek says are among the world’s smallest lighting pixels at 2 × 2 mm, enabling significantly higher resolution displays through vehicle lighting.
Nexlide Pixel received a CES 2026 Innovation Award, which was announced in November 2025 and represents a major advancement in vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication capabilities.
LG Innotek target $691m in vehicle lighting business revenue by 2030, and the company have actively promoted their lighting solutions in Europe through webinars and technical demonstrations over the past year.
The Nexlide lineup also includes Nexlide Cube, which creates 3D lighting effects through a multilayered structure that produces floating light illusions, and Nexlide C+, featuring angle-dependent 3D multi-effects that display different images based on viewing angle.

LG Innotek hold more than 700 patents related to surface light source technology, which enables uniform lighting across extended surfaces without conventional thickness constraints. This technology allows ultra-slim vehicle lighting modules to emit brighter, more evenly distributed light while enhancing design freedom for automotive manufacturers.
The company’s mobility solutions business unit see Europe as a strategic market for expansion beyond their North American base. Senior executives have emphasized plans to become a trusted technology partner for European and Japanese automakers through continued innovation in automotive lighting solutions.
