The “Haus der Technik” congress has been held last week with the attendance of a board of experts and managers from car makers and lighting suppliers.
The President of the congress, Rainer Neumann informed Driving Vision News about this congress in 3 short points: 35 attendees, good lectures, good discussion.
Presentations
A board of experts and managers from car makers and lighting suppliers attended the congress.
Lectures
Rainer Neumann from Visteon, Ralf Schäfer from Philips, Thomas Reiners from Osram, Uwe Kostanzer from Daimler, Wolfgang Huhn from Audi, Michael Hamm from Automotive Lighting, Henning Kiel from Volkswagen, Michael Kleinkes from Hella, and Thorsten Warwel from Ford.
Discussion
With thus limited number of attendees, the discussion could be very interesting mainly on 3 subjects:
– Xenon 25w and the possibility to have the 3 light sources, D5 with electronics, D6 and also D7 to use with short LCL. The possibility using 3 light sources should be a good decision considering the global market and the specific solutions as China or India.
– LED technology with the possibility to have now performances better than Xenon but with also very high cost.
– Automatic levelling with also the different opinion about auto levelling request from GRE.
