VW’s new ID.Polo BEV has just been revealed. It’s based on their MEB+ platform, with a starting price in Germany of €24,995.
There are three trim levels: Trend, Life and Style. The Trend and Life gets reflector LED low and high beams, without a lit logo or full-width light band. The Style trim comes with the IQ.Light matrix headlamps with illuminated light strip, 3D LED rear light clusters, and front and rear illuminated VW logos.
An additional innovation is an improved version of ID.Light inside the Style-trim car. This provides assistance with visual information in everyday driving – navigation instructions and charging status, for example. The light strip is now also continued into the front doors for the first time and has new functions. For example, the system can warn of approaching road users before the door is opened, similarly to the Audi A6.
