Firstly: Happy new year to all our DVN Interior members, longtime readers, and the quiet experts who don’t comment but notice everything. I hope 2026 brings you health, prosperity, and a bit of breathing space in the timing plans.
If I’m optimistic this year, it’s because interiors are finally back where they belong: at the intersection of emotion and engineering. Color, material and finish are no longer late decisions or afterthoughts – they are strategic. UX and lighting are no longer nice-to-have extras, now they’re central to perceived quality, ergonomics, and sustainability in a way customers actually feel, every single day.
That’s why I’d love to see you with us in Torino on 14 – 15 January, for our DVN Interior Workshop focused on CMF, UX and lighting for desirable, ergonomic, and truly sustainable interiors. See the final docket here.
That’s also why our next stop after Torino is Köln on 22 – 23 April, with a deep focus on interior lighting, smart surfaces, and UX/UI – including cockpit interaction. If you want to compare notes with peers who’ve already lived through platform cycles and ‘revolutions’, this is your event.
Come and join us at the workshop! And if DVN Interior has become part of your professional rhythm, consider joining as a member too. Find information online or send me email.
Take care,
