Cerence has integrated their Audio AI suite into DSP (Digital Signal Processor) Concepts’ Audio Weaver. The integration enables customers to seamlessly deploy Cerence AI’s automotive audio solutions within Audio Weaver’s audio development platform.
Cerence is a global player in creating intuitive, seamless, AI-powered experiences across automotive and transport. They partner with automakers, transport OEMs, and technology companies to advance user experiences. Cerence is headquartered in Burlington, Massachusetts, USA.
Cerence’s Audio AI solutions are available as ready-to-go modules in Audio Weaver. The company’s speech signal enhancement suite offers hands-free, advanced sound-processing technologies designed to clean up microphone inputs by removing background noise. This enables Cerence AI’s in-car assistants to accurately interpret the speech of drivers and passengers.
Emergency vehicle detection (EVD) is critical as vehicles become increasingly autonomous. The Cerence EVD offering identifies sirens from police cars, fire trucks, and ambulances from up to 800m away, pinpointing the direction the emergency vehicle is traveling. EVD can then either advise a driver to manually pull to the side of the road or guide an autonomous vehicle to do the same, allowing the emergency vehicles to pass safely.
In-car communication (ICC) solutions are also available. This voice processing technology enhances conversations between passengers in a vehicle by amplifying and clarifying speech. ICC uses microphones and speakers strategically placed throughout the cabin.
