The slogan was “It’s all about mobility”, and that was correct, but it was still an auto show: cars, concepts and supplier technologies. This year German brands came back, as did others like Renault. There were a lot Chinese automakers and suppliers. IAA was a great opportunity to (re)connect with OEMs, suppliers, partners, and friends. DVN was present, and this week’s newsletter has been supported by the DVN interior team with Sebastien Adam, Carsten Befelein, and Andreas Friedrich.
DVN Interior coverage includes a review of highlights of the round-the-city exhibitions, interior trends around the Messe for cockpits, seats, interior lighting and materials, and review of standout vehicles. DVN Interior was invited to the Polestar 5 reveal, and our report is in the Design Lounge section.
With so many new car models and supplier innovations, IAA Mobility shows that despite all the current challenges, the industry is still delivering innovations to the market, and it’s refreshing to see that the game is not over.
Let’s continue the dialog between design (concepts) and technologies at the upcoming DVN Interior events, with the Shanghai Interior Workshop this 29 – 30 October, followed by the next workshop in Italy on 14 – 15 January, 2026.
Sincerely yours,
