Nissan have just revealed their new Juke and X-trail in Europe, with new designs diverging conspicuously from past practice.
The Juke has a front lit logo and a light band in lower part of the hood. The functional lamps have a complex hexagonal shape, never seen quite like this in a production car – though perhaps there was some small seed of inspiration for them in the hexagonal front and rear light treatment on Nissan’s 1974-’78 Cherry F-II (“Datsun F-10” in North America). The new Juke’s lower rear lamps recall the Kia EV2.

The new X-trail has a more classic design, simplified versus the current X-trail or the Qashqai, and hidden-until-lit DRLs in the grille.
