We’re pleased to welcome Mark Verplank to the DVN team! He has an Electrical Engineering degree from Purdue University, and over 30 years’ automotive experience – 25 of which were focused on exterior lighting at Valeo, where he was the North American Regional Manager for Testing and Validation, and in 2022 was appointed as a Regulations Expert. He retired from Valeo in 2025.
Verplank has been deeply involved with the SAE Lighting Systems Group for over 10 years and is presently in charge of the SAE task force developing a standard for driver assistance and signalling road projections.
With his great expertise and broad US network, he brings valuable perspective and insight. Watch for his name on DVN articles and reports!
