Valeo, Meituan to Work on Last-Mile Autonomous Delivery

Valeo have entered into a strategic coöperation in the field of last mile Autonomous Delivery with Meituan, China’s leading e-commerce platform for services as well as the largest on-demand food delivery platform in China. Both parties will work together on autonomous delivery vehicles in last-mile scenarios.
Valeo will be delivering parts and contributing expertise including electric motors, sensors, lighting, and thermal management. Also at the disposal of engineers and researchers working cooperatively: Valeo’s powertrain solutions, battery thermal management systems, sensors and cameras, radars, and the Valeo SCALA® laser scanner, the first and only automotive laser scanner that has been mass produced in the world.
