Lighting supplier Grakon have opened an engineering and design centre in Northville, Michigan. The Seattle-based company’s new Michigan facility will house lighting engineers and designers involved in new product development for Grakon’s core focus in commercial trucks as well as in niche automotive applications. It will complement and serve Grakon staff at their corporate headquarters, their plant in China, their logistics and engineering centre in the Netherlands, and their sales offices in North Carolina and Texas.

Grakon design, develop, manufacture, and distribute vehicle lighting systems and engineered trim components for original equipment manufacturers. They offer interior and exterior lighting systems. The firm opened in 1977 and are based in Seattle, Washington; they describe themselves as a leading global designer and manufacturer of custom interior lighting, exterior lighting, complex engineered and assembled molded trim components, and custom trim features such as nameplates and thresholds, with recent focus on customised LED lighting.
