Seoul Semiconductor have released a new Z Power Z3 LED module for low and high beam headlamp applications—there are five Z3s in the low beam of the new HyundaiGenesis—and are seeing implementations of their Z Power Z5 LED introduced last year specifically for daylight running lamps and position lights. The new Hyundai Grandeur, for instance, uses 12 of them for the DRL function.

The Z5 DRL LED makes 125 Lm with a drive current of 350 mA and a thermal resistance of 9K/W and white colour compliant with the ECE/SAE common White box. The new Z3 headlamp LED produces 600 Lm with drive current of 600 mA, or up to 900 Lm at 1A. Thermal resistance is 2K/W.
