Continental AG have made changes to their Supervisory and Executive board. In the meeting held on 12 August 2009:
– Karl-Thomas Neumann, Chairman of the company’s Executive board, agreed to step down from his position.
– Elmar Degenhart, former Chairman of the management board of the Automotive unit in the Schaeffler Group, has been appointed as Continental’s new Chairman. – Degenhart will now manage the powertrain division as well.
Rolf Koerfer, Chairman of the Supervisory board, expressed his willingness to step down from his current position. However, Koerfer will continue to serve as a Chairman’s Committee member of the Supervisory board.
In addition, Continental’s Supervisory board appointed three new members to the Executive board. These include
– Ralf Cramer, head of the Chassis & Safety division of the company;
– Helmut Matschi, head of the Interior division;
– Nikolai Setzer, head of the Passenger and Light Truck Tires division.
