Cypress Semiconductor report having integrated a driver and controller for high-power LEDs on a single chip. The company, of San Jose, California USA, says each member of the new PowerPSoC family of integrated and embedded power controllers with drivers, is comprised of four constant-current regulators and four 32V MOSFETs with the company’s PSoC programmable system-on-chip that includes a microcontroller, programmable analog and digital blocks, and memory.
Cypress says that this single-chip solution can be leveraged for use in high-quality LED-based lighting products and other embedded applications.
