Over the course of three years, ZKW have developed a completely new headlighting system for the BMW 7-series.
Beside of the high technological and design demands, a lot of new innovations were necessary to combine the stringent quality and safety performance requirements with the sporty design requirements for BMW headlamps.
DRL/Position light functions
The position lamp light guide “angel eye” rings have taken on the daytime running lamp function.
In order to achieve this performance, ZKW developed a special two-reflector system, which illuminates the two light rings with direct light or via light guides.
