We are terribly sad to report that Philippe Aumont, our DVN-Interior business unit Leader and General Editor, has passed away. Philippe joined DVN seven years ago when he retired from Faurecia (now Forvia), to build the DVN-Interior activity with Hector Fratty. Since 2019, he wrote and compiled the weekly DVN-I newsletter, gathering the interior community of 60 member companies, and travelling with passion and interest all over the world to keep the connection with his automotive world.
We sorely miss you, Philippe. You were always here with us for our weekly meeting, always full of anecdotes, automotive stories and a great knowledge in automotive interior. It was a real pleasure to work with you. We learnt a lot from you. You built a strong community. We will do our best, now and always, to continue what you developed.
Philippe’s sudden departure makes it hard and painful for us to find the motivation, yet we will carry on with what we were preparing together with him. Right now, that’s preparing for our upcoming events. Torino is on long-range radar, and our 500-participant Shanghai Lighting & Interior event is next week. The docket is finalised, and we wish all attendees safe travels en route to Shanghai. We are still accepting registrations; come join us!
