Osram Opto Semiconductors have designated Avnet Electronics Marketing as Osram’s preferred global partner. Avnet’s team of illumination-focused LED and lighting engineers will assist customers in applications using LEDs in the illumination, signage, security, medical, industrial and transportation industries, and the firm’s regional LED/lighting design centres are equipped to perform relevant photometric, UV/IR radiometric and thermal measurements across a broad spectrum of products from individual LEDs up to complete luminaires.
Osram Opto CEO Aldo Kamper says Avnet is a logical choice because “Over the course of our longstanding relationship, Avnet’s LED and lighting technical expertise, solutions-oriented design approach and the ability to leverage a broad range of LED-associated electronic, optical, thermal and interconnect components gives our mutual customers a proven time-to-market advantage”.
