Peugeot have just unveiled their Polygon, a unique concept car that embodies Peugeot’s vision for the future. During the reveal, a really high importance was on exterior lighting. Peugeot put a lot of miniLEDs on for all the signalling functions – they specifically mention microLEDs in their communication release – on front, side, and rear.
The brand’s iconic three-claw light signature is reimagined in a horizontal layout, instead of the longstanding vertical.

Formed from a multitude of microLED screens, while stationary this new light signature animates at the front and rear with various graphic and colour configurations, selectable by the vehicle user.

A dedicated microLED screen is located on the C-pillar, providing the ultimate charging experience, next to the pop-up cable connector. This allows users to check the vehicle’s charge level without entering the car.

In addition to exterior lighting, microLED technology is also used to connect the interior and exterior of the car; the MicroLEDs behind the Hypersquare® are visible from outside of the vehicle, allowing animations unique to the Polygon to be displayed.

Beyond the new front end, the Polygon concept previews the overall design language of future Peugeots: pure, simple, geometric shapes for a more feline stance than ever.
