Valeo held a Tech Day event recently at their facility near Detroit in Troy, Michigan. The company opened their doors to showcase their latest innovations.
Engineers highlighted how lighting is evolving beyond hardware to integrate optics, electronics, and software to meet demand for complete solutions blending technical precision with creative freedom.

There was extensive discussion of glare and its control in the North American context, and of Valeo’s strength in measuring methodologies while closely partnering with automakers to ensure consistent results under real driving conditions. This entails expertise and experience in simulation and virtual validation, which in today’s world are crucial to developing products at maximum speed and minimum cost.

The discussions all day were focused on manufacturing agility and sustainability. Valeo are developing compact modules with simplified thermal management, designed for scalability, affordability, and efficiency while providing a premium visual identity. They’re working to position the Valeo brand as that of a technology integrator while bringing optics, sensors and software together to deliver adaptive and safe lighting systems and components.
