Driving Vision News Interior continues to track car interior developments closely. Heavy participation by industry leaders at the Shanghai DVN-Interior Workshop this coming 29 – 30 October will provide great opportunities to understand the relevant trends, particularly in China versus the rest of the world.
This week, DVN’s Felipe Melhado met with the Stellantis Studio team near Detroit to have a conversation regarding the trends in interiors and to get a perspective of technology on the other side of the planet from the Auto Shanghai show.
The discussion revolved around how consumer behavior in China is setting a new benchmark for global automakers and suppliers, and how interiors are regarded in China compared to the rest of the world. The future of interiors is not only about design and comfort, but also about redefining how we live in our vehicles.
In the Design Lounge this week we take a look at the Audi Concept C, an electric two-seat sports car unveiled in Milan a bit over a week ago. The design is inspired by classic Audi models, especially the Auto Union Type C and the iconic TT, but with a modern, minimalist approach described as ‘radical simplicity’. Take a look and see what a radical and simple interior looks like!
Sincerely yours,
