Alexander Von Hoffmann received a Dipl.-Ing. degree in electrical engineering in 1998 from Darmstadt University of Technology and the Dr.-Ing. degree in 2003 from the Ilmenau University of Technology with Prof. Gall as doctoral adviser.
In 1998 he started to work in Volkswagen’s Lighting Development department. Since 2006 he is Professor for mechatronics at University of Applied Sciences Nuremberg.
He is the technical advisor of Intelligent Automotive Lighting congress held last week in Frunkfort.

A.Von Hoffmann: I had the chance to learn a lot about automotive lighting and had opportunity to contribute to the serial development of important innovations like AFS, LED Daytime Running Lamp and the introduction of new development processes.
