Altogether Andre Georgi made the design of about 80 lights (Showcars included) during the past 8 years within a very motivated AUDI-Team.
> Mr. Georgi, what kinds of design freedoms can be attributed to LED lights?
With LED lights, a designer is facing entirely new tasks and challenges. A LED is not a light bulb! It offers completely new possibilities and freedoms. At the same time, complexity is increasing – technically, creatively and from a legal point of view. This requires completely new models of collaboration between engineers and lighting designers.
> Why does it work at Audi?
Through a longstanding team of designers and engineers who work together to bring the “crazy” and “This is surely not possible!” prescribed ideas into production. One example is the turn signal lights on the A8 and A6 (C7), which is installed in the daytime running light signature.
Wolfgang Huhn and I both work in a very product-oriented way. In the end, the only winner is always the product.
