AML: Levelers, Cleaners, Actuators for Lights
AML Systems are an independent company with considerable expertise gained from long experience with a wide customer base over more than two decades’ work in lighting and actuator development. This was achieved as the in-house department of Valeo Lighting Systems responsible for the design, manufacture, and commercialisation of actuators and headlamp cleaning systems. They were spun off from Valeo and on 1 July 2010 a management team took control consisting of CEO Eric Julien; VP of Sales & Business Development Jean-Eric Peugeot, COO Denis Goudigan, and financial partners led by Syntegra Capital with a strong innovation and growth program.
Design and production
AML have three product ranges: levellers, lighting actuators, and headlamp cleaning systems. These are produced at Hirson in France and at Wuxi, Jiangsu province in China.
37 R&D people led by Ludovic Toulisse develop the products, and 300 people produce 17 million levellers, 3 million lighting actuators and 1 million headlamp cleaning systems per year generating close to €70m in annual sales. This Eurasian footprint allows AML to supply global platforms and fulfil the needs of their customers worldwide.
