Since 2019, DVN Interior has regularly covered driver monitoring systems from every angle: safety effects, regulatory matters, capabilities, technologies and techniques, user experience, expanded functionalities, and more. DMS is also frequently on the docket at our workshops, and that’s the case for our upcoming Shanghai event on 29 – 30 October, which will include a lecture from Smart Eye. That’s the topic of this week’s in-depth piece.
Designers often question existing solutions and look for new technology that could enable new solutions. In the Design Lounge this week, the new solution under the microscope is printed electronics; DVN’s Andreas Friedrich digs in and asks, “What if…?”.
DMS adds an additional functional layer into the interior, while printed electronics can enable new solutions with ultra-thin, shapable electronics with sensors, lights, and more. Both are completely changing interiors and the interaction between users and interior equipment.
Speaking of that upcoming Shanghai workshop, the theme is
HMI, CMF AND INTERIOR LIGHTING · SHAPING NEXT-GEN INTERIORS
It’s the event to talk, listen, and learn with your peers. The updated and detailed docket is now posted. If you are available in the Shanghai area at the end of the month, don’t miss it!
Sincerely yours,
