The event of 2019 in Automotive LiDAR
With one more year maturing time of automotive LiDAR in ADAS and Autonomous Driving fields, this conference covered LiDAR applications, technology, integration, testing and release. It took place on December 2nd and 3 rd in Frankfurt, with a social cocktail and welcome dinner on the first evening. This conference facilitated reciprocal access, communication, and business opportunities for stakeholders in LiDAR and vehicle industry, and contributed building a new ecosystem for LiDAR and automotive integration.
This event gathered over 200 top worldwide experts in automotive LiDAR and lighting from over 100 different companies. Lectures expressed the different views about LiDAR Applications and Integration from automakers including Audi/VW, Volvo, Renault; from LiDAR suppliers Aeye, Blickfeld, Cepton, Continental, Fraunhofer, Ibeo, Jenoptik, Osram, Valeo LiDAR, Velodyne Lidar, Xenomatix; from lighting tier-1s including AL, Hella, Koito (tbc), Valeo, and ZKW; and a variety of tier-2 suppliers involved in automotive LiDAR integration.
There were two pannel dicussions about:
• How fast will Automotive LiDAR be adopted?
• Will LiDAR impact Automotive Lighting?
And 15 expo booths presented the newest innovative LiDAR-based automotive technologies and their integration process into cars
