Visiocorp, the world’s leading manufacturer of automotive rearview mirror systems, have sold their facility in Schwaikheim to Alfred Kärcher GmbH, the leading international manufacturer of hosepipe-based cleaning equipment.
At the same location, the Visiocorp production site for die-cast parts for exterior mirrors will remain with its current workforce of 78 thanks to a long-term lease agreement with Kärcher.
By this means, VisioCorp,are concentrating on their core business, the development and production of car rearview mirror systems.
The Odelo Group, who produce rear lights and signals, will also continue to use the building previously rented by Visiocorp as their headquarters and technology centre. A long-term lease contract has been concluded with Kärcher.
Odelo manufacture at six locations in Baden-Wuerttemberg, North Rhine-Westphalia and Slovenia with a total of 1800 employees. Products include innovative car signal lights.
