At the same time as the AMS survey, internet employer discussion website JOBvoting.de found Hella, amongst 8 choices, garnered 29% of the votes for the best company of 2007.
A recent opinion poll in German motor magazine Auto Motor und Sport finds Hella is the best-known automotive lighting company, with 71.6% of the readers’ votes. Hella’s recent innovations include the Cadillac Escalade Platinum full LED, the fully adaptive front lighting system for the new Opel Insignia, and the best-in-class Saturn Astra BiHalogen headlamp — all previously reported in DrivingVisionNews.

From 1995 to 2006, he was Valeo Lighting Systems’ chief of R&D, managing a staff of 650 engineers and technicians and a budget of over €70m. He holds 20 patents worldwide.
