Seoul Semiconductor, one of the world’s leading LED manufacturers, announced the company’s photoflash LED has been named a Product of the Year for 2008’ by Elektronik, one of the most prestigious electronics magazines in Germany.
Elektronik’s widely regarded annual Best Product Award polls its readers to select the most innovative products. The Elektronik editorial team pre-selected 111 products in ten categories for the poll.
This year, Seoul Semicondutor’s photoflash LED was selected as one of the best products in the Opto-electronics category.
Seoul Semiconductor’s photoflash LED model FC W211Z features extremely high intensity and ultra-miniature size, and is expected to replace xenon strobe tubes in photoflash and emergency vehicle flash applications. It can operate at a high current of 2 amps, and emits up to 100 candela, more than twice the intensity of conventional LEDs for flashing lamps.
