Marelli have contributed to the new Volvo ES90 vehicle with their adaptive Pixel-LED headlamps.
They include Marelli’s compact and energy efficient high-definition 25,600-pixel h-Digi® microLED modules equipped with ams Osram’s Eviyos™ HD 25 light sources and their e-Light matrix technology.
This innovative technology runs on Marelli’s novel high-definition electronic control unit including their exclusive rendering algorithm. The finely crafted signalling elements deliver perfect homogeneity and highlight the Volvo brandmark Thor’s-Hammer signature.
This success was made possible through co-creation with Volvo Cars and suppliers, as well as seamless collaboration, flexibility, and dedication from Marelli global teams in Reutlingen, Germany, Venaria, Italy and Shanghai and Foshan, China.
DVN comment: On LinkedIn, Marc from the Volvo lighting team said “Really good job done by all the Marelli R&D colleagues in Reutlingen to make these lamps a success for Volvo Cars. It was a pleasure taking part during the whole development phase and the challenges we had during our journey. One of the best (or maybe the best) Thor Hammer we had in terms of homogeneity!”
